Week Fourteen Recap
Your job is to create a style guide for Tech High and determine how best to present this information. This style guide will be considered for selection by the school administration.
Style guides should include school logo's, secondary logos, colors, mascots, Pantones,
t-shirt criteria, artwork for specific press and media, app guidelines.
Think of this as a specific kind of infographic. This could be multiple pages.
The final will be created using Adobe InDesign for Year 4 Students
Item should be saved as a chained .pdf (Multiple pages viewable at once)
Use Adobe Acrobat To Complete This.

Campus Tour
We'll be wandering the campus together and showing you parts you may have not seen before. Bring a camera or a sketch book as we document a day in the life of Tech High.
Take lots of pictures.
Tues.-Wed. Nov.16th-17th
Design Challenge | A Day In The Life as a Vector Image (2 pts)
Put some of your favorite photos or your sketches from yesterday in the class in box and have a look at them. Pick a few that you feel best represents life on our campus. Bring two into Adobe Illustrator and create vector versions. These can be created in any design style you see fit. You've practiced Concrete to Abstract so far and practiced with many different styles. Save your final in the folder titled A DAY IN THE LIFE OF TECH HIGH.
Again, size, design style, color palette are all up to you, the designer.
When finished, export a a copy of your .AI work as a .jpeg or .pdf.

Visit the two links below and have a good look around. Then, your challenge is to choose two characters you would like to try creating and create them! CChoose a design style you like or would like to try or know more about. Take your skill set into consideration when choosing.

WIX.com is a simple web page creator that lets you look at thousands of website templates and then save one and edit it. Remove their pictures, put in yours. Remove their text, put in yours. Changing color schemes, etc.. The best portfolio pages have a simple landing (or Splash) page, and then links to your gallery.
Design an online portfolio for yourself. Include your artwork you've designed this semester, year or so far during your time in class. Your name should figure prominently into the design.

After you press print, a dialogue box will pop up.

Be sure the Lexmark C792 Printer is selected.

Check the orientation of your paper is correct (Portrait or Landscape)

Be sure to scroll down a bit and check the SCALE TO FIT MEDIA box.

Please DO NOT Print: Work From Other Classes, Memes you Just Made And Think Are Funny But Are Not, Pages of Solid Colors, Work that has nothing to do with our class.

Turning In Your Assignments
Save And Upload To Focus

All work will be turned in using FOCUS/PORTAL. I will be able to grade your work, count your work and give feedback on your work using Focus.
Grading

Grades will be entered within two weeks of turning in your project. Some projects will take one or two days for you to complete, some will take several weeks. Please be patient as grading is completed. For every day a project due date is missed, a letter grade reduction will occur.
Saving Photoshop Files

.PSD files preserve your layers, allowing you to come back and work on files with all your work preserved.

.JPEG files are compressed for display online. 300 resolution or better. Anything below is too blurry.

.PNG files are high quality and create a transparent background.

It allows you to keep work in class that you are working on. This file contains a folder for your class work. It is where you can keep your design work in class or move things into from your One Drive or your Flash Drive if you do work at home.
