Mr. Juul studied at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and Columbia College in Chicago, majoring in fine arts and film with additional specialized training in writing, design and video production. His education training was through USF in Florida.
As an instructor, he teaches commercial and digital design as well as a design for gaming course. He’s earned several awards for educational practices including Outstanding Career and Technical Adult Education Instructor of the Year, the 2017 Teacher of the Year for Career Academies of Seminole as well as a Pinellas County Teacher of The Year Finalist. Mr. Juul was also nominated for Teacher of the Year for the State of Florida in 2012 and 2018. During his twenty+ years in the classroom he's also mentored and trained numerous state and national student design contest winners.
His varied background in marketing, design, film and acting have helped create an open teaching environment for students looking for an involved and interesting arts elective or career choice.
In addition to teaching, Mr. Juul is a recognized multimedia artist whose own company released several videos, a CD-ROM and DVD's of his artwork. He is also a performer and instructor of improv comedy and has taught and performed around the country. Mr. Juul is an avid traveler, writer and purveyor of music and popcorn.
This is his 24th year as an instructor.
